Can zakāt be given in the form of clothes?

Answer:

Yes. In principle zakāt can be given in the form of clothes. However, it must be stressed that old clothes should not be given. The Qurʾān says: ‘O believers, spend from the pure of what you have earned, and from what We have produced for you from the earth. Do not aim for the worthless thereof’ (2:267)
