Friday 24th April 2020 marked the first day of Ramadan and through your support, our relief teams started the blessed month by feeding the poor and needy who are fasting in Kafir, Idlib (Syria).
It is important that we continue donating in order for us to distribute these meals to all those in need in this area, throughout the whole of the month.
Let us reflect on two traditions from the Prophet (peace be upon him):
- “Whoever provides the food for a fasting person to break his fast with, then for him is the same reward as his (the fasting person’s), without anything being diminished from the reward of the fasting person.” (Tirmidhi 807)
- “Protect yourselves against the fire, even if it is with half a date.” (Tirmidhi 2218)
This goes to show that no matter how much you donate, it makes a big difference when it comes to providing meals to those in need worldwide. With as little as £1 per meal, this could save a person from starving and can provide them with the basic necessity of food.
