Humanity Without Borders supports many countries across the globe, Tanzania is also amongst the nations we deliver aid to. Tanzania has a world population of approximately 55 million people, and over 76% of the population are living below the poverty line. In fact, 42% of children under 5 suffer from chronic malnutrition.
Here is a timeline of our activities in Tanzania since we first began actively working in Dar Es Salam in 2018.
July 2018: Our trustees visited several orphanages and villages to provide aid assistance to the neediest. We thus began our Tanzania appeal and Orphan Appeal.
January 2019: a 40-foot container was sent across containing vital aid supplies.
July 2019: Following extensive campaigning by Humanity Without Borders, the container was released to the Tanzanian public in Zanzibar and Dar Es Salaam.
The local Tanzanian media came along to support our great work as we are one of the first charities to send an aid container to Tanzania.
What makes us different?
We operate on a strictly 100% donation policy. We do not resell any clothing or goods that members of the public donate and we also hand deliver all aid to ensure it reaches those who are most needy.
Please consider supporting us further by also contributing and donating towards our transportation costs to help us deliver aid personally.
