In Ghouta, there are approximately 400,000 people under siege all in urgent need of aid. In early February, after four days of shelling by Syrian forces news reports have estimated at least 229 people were killed. Among the dead were 58 children and 43 women.
These airstrikes have further left 700 civilians injured, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.
Humanity Without Borders have recognised this emergency and plan to respond by sending aid to the people of Ghouta immediately. We are fundraising to distribute truckloads of bread as well as providing clean water, hoping to nourish thousands of our brothers and sisters.
Our first distribution will be taking place within the next week, stay tuned for updates and please continue to donate towards this project.
